Booking & Pricing
How does headshot pricing work?

Headshots Plus is a $295 studio session fee to book your slot, then $225 per image you choose to purchase. Social Media Refresh and LinkedIn Fast Pass are simpler: one flat price covers the session and the images, no separate math required.
Do you travel for headshot sessions?

For individual sessions, no. Everything happens in the Braintree studio. For companies requiring a group where I bring the studio to your offices, yes: location fees start at $1,000, plus a per-person headshot fee.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Life happens. Reschedule anytime before the day of your session at no penalty. Same-day cancellations get one free pass. After that, a new session fee applies.
Is retouching included?

Yes. Every image you select or purchase is retouched. Unretouched images aren't released individually.

What happens to images that aren't selected?

No. RAW files are archived for safekeeping, not handed over. Even the session buyout gets you full-size, retouched JPEGs, not RAW files.
For $1,500, you get every retouched image from your session as a full-size JPEG. Ideal if you want the full variety instead of picking just a few favorites.
Right there in the studio, same-day. You'll know exactly what you're walking away with before you leave, plus you get my input in real time instead of agonizing over a gallery link later. Special circumstances can be accommodated, just ask.
Once your session's complete, images are selected, and your retouched files are delivered, every rejected photo is permanently deleted. No exceptions. For session buyouts, once you receive your full-size JPEGs, those RAW files are deleted too. Only RAW files for selected or purchased images are archived.
Headshots Plus sessions don’t have a session time limit, however, you can plan for one of those branding-type sessions to last 60-90 minutes.
Social Media Refresh sessions are generally 15-30 minutes.
LinkedIn Fast Passes are firmly capped at 10 minutes.

What should I wear?

Easier to tell you what to skip: anything you'll look back on in two years and wonder why you wore it in public. Beyond that, solids are always safest, though a subtle pattern in a blazer or top is fine as long as it doesn't steal the show. Dress like you would for an important meeting if this is work-focused, or like a nice dinner with old friends if it's more personal. Not sure what works? Browse the gallery — seeing what past clients wore is one of the best ways to get ideas.
Should I wear a tie?

Only if your world calls for it. Ties show up in maybe 10% of my sessions these days; a crisp dress shirt has mostly taken over as the default. Legal, medical, and a few other fields still lean formal, so know your audience and dress accordingly.
What about jewelry?

Keep it subtle. Simple necklaces and earrings are fine as long as they're not the star of the photo. Reflective pieces are trickier, but if you're unsure, bring them anyway. It's a lot easier to snap a few test shots and see how they look than to leave them at home and wonder. Sentimental or heirloom pieces get some extra leeway; if it means something to you, it's worth including.
Do you offer a makeup artist?

I don't, and honestly, less is more. Go light on foundation, easy around the eyes. Retouching handles blemishes and evens out skin tone far better than heavy makeup ever could. Whatever you wear should support your look, not take it over.
Do you shoot outdoors?

Do you offer greenscreen backgrounds?

No. Every headshot and portrait session happens indoors, no exceptions. (Happy to go into why if you're curious, just ask.)
Not greenscreen, no. I shoot on a solid white or medium gray background instead, and can deliver a transparent PNG version if you need one. That comes with an additional fee.
